The invention relates to phenoketals of general structure (I), wherein X and Y are independently from each other methoxy, ethoxy, propoxy or butoxy radicals and R1 is a methyl, ethyl or propyl group, R2 stands for hydrogen or a methyl, ethyl isopropyl, tertiary butyl or methoxy group, R3 means hydrogen or a methoxy group and R4 is hydrogen or a methyl group. The inventive phenoketals are characterized by their interesting scents with great diffusion properties and are particularly suitable for use as odoriferous substances in cosmetic preparations, technical products or alcohol-based perfumes. |
