abstract |
The present invention provides for a liner for a closure. The liner is an EVA copolymer blended with a stiff ionomer resin and an improved slip additive blend, wherein the net vinyl acetate in the EVA/ionomer blend is about 15 to 23 percent. These components, when melt blended together, yield a cap liner having improved removal torque and carbonation retention properties. |
