titleOfInvention | Detergent compositions having color care agents |
abstract | Detergent composition having color care agents are provided. The detergent compositions comprise from about 0.1 % to about 50 % by weight of the composition of a color care agent having the formula: (R1)(R2)N(CX2)nN(R3)(R4), wherein X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, linear or branched; substituted or unsubstituted alkyl having from 1-10 carbon atoms and substituted or unsubstituted aryl having at least 6 carbon atoms; n is an integer from 1 to 6; R1, R2, R3, and R4 are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyl, aryl, alkaryl, arylalk, hydroxyalkyl, polyhydroxyalkyl, polyalkylether having the formula: ((CH2)yO)zR7 where R7 is hydrogen or a linear, branched, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl chain having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms and where y is an integer from 2 to 10 and z is an integer from 1 to 30, alkoxy, polyalkoxy having the formula: -(O(CH2)y)zR7; the group -C(O)R8 where R8 is alkyl, alkaryl, arylalk, hydroxyalkyl, polyhydroxyalkyl and polyalkylether as defined in R1, R2, R3, and R4; CX2CX2N(R5)(R6) with no more than one of R1, R2, R3, and R4 being CX2CX2N(R5)(R6) and wherein R5 and R6 are alkyl, alkaryl, arylalk, hydroxyalkyl, polyhydroxyalkyl, olyalkylether, alkoxy and polyalkoxy as defined in R1, R2, R3, and R4; and either of R1 + R3 or R4 or R2 + R3 or R4 can combine to form a cyclic substituent. The compositions also include detergent adjunct ingredients including surfactants, builders, bleaching agents, enzymes, soil release polymers, dye transfer inhibitors, and mixtures thereof. |
