titleOfInvention Feed composition for poultry
abstract Incorporation of coenzymes Q, preferably coenzyme Q9 and/or coenzyme Q10, in combination with a substance selected among antioxidants, preferably vitamin E, gastric antacids, preferably sodium hydrogencarbonate, and ammonia generation inhibitors, preferably a dialdehyde starch, into a feed composition for poultry can provide a feed composition which can effectively prevent ascites or sudden death syndrome, thus improving the rate of raising in poultry bred mainly for carnivorous purposes, such as a chicken, particularly in breeding a broiler. Further, incorporation of coenzymes Q, preferably coenzyme Q9 and/or coenzyme Q10, in combination with processed yeast cells, preferably a processed cell of a yeast selected among Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Saccharomyces carlsbergensis, Yarrowia lipolytica, Torulopsis utilis, and Trichosporon cutaneum can provide a feed composition which can effectively prevent ascites or sudden death syndrome, thus improving the rate of raising in poultry bred mainly for carnivorous purposes, such as a chicken, particularly in breeding a broiler and, at the same time, during the storage of a feed, permits an active ingredient to be stably stored and the efficacy to be maintained.
