abstract A fish feed composition for carnivorous fish, having a composition essentially corresponding to that of the natural prey of the fish is provided. The feed comprises a wetting agent and/or an emulsifying agent, 30-70 wt.% protein, 20-50 wt.% of lipid and 0-10 wt.% carbohydrate. In particular, the carbohydrate is at the most 2 wt.%. Methods for preparing the feed are also provided.
