abstract An effervescent preparation for plants consisting of a solid composition at least comprising a carbonate salt and/or a hydrogencarbonate salt, a water-soluble solid acid, and yeast extract and/or methionine. This preparation can be applied to fields with easy dissolution or diffusion, is improved in storage stability as compared with aqueous solution type preparations, thus causing littls putrefaction or deterioration due to contamination, and is excellent in handleability. Further, the preparation can be applied directly to a watered paddy field by throwing, which shortens the working time and/or reduces the manpower.
