abstract |
A pump (10) including variable-volume means (24) operably connected to a separate volume (20) through which blood flows for cyclically and controllably varying said volume (20). The pump control circuit comprises means for collecting data on the aortic pressure (P(t)), means for collecting data on the venous oxygen concentration (PO2V), means for collecting data on the aortic oxygen concentration (PO2A), means for collecting data on the heart rate (F), and/or means for collecting data on the myocardial contractility (dP/dt). The circuit can control the speed of variation (u(t); v(t)) of said volume during the systolic and diastolic phases of the myocardium, as well as the times (tA; tR) at which the volume variation starts during the systolic and diastolic phases. |
