abstract |
In accordance with the present invention, it has been discovered that the rheological properties of a variety of anionic polysaccharide-containing cementitious systems can be improved by incorporating relatively small amounts of an organic sugar and/or an organic acid into the formulation. Sugar and/or acid addition to anionic polysaccharide-containing cementitious systems provides enhanced rheological control in a variety of cementitious systems. In particular, the introduction of sugar and/or acid to anionic polysaccharide-containing cementitious systems enhances its apparent viscosity. |
