abstract A device is disclosed for closing off tubes leading into the uterus with the aid of a bipolar coagulation system which can be connected to a high-frequency current source. In said coagulation system, a functional head is provided at the end of a carrier- and/or inspection unit which can be introduced through the os uteri into the uterus and has at least two electrodes in the form of piercing and clamping elements capable of being set between a passive piercing position and an active clamping and coagulation position.
