A membrane of microporous, for example oriented, PTFE is filled with particles of a size in the nanometer range. The abrasive resistance of the membrane can be increased by filling with TiO2, for example. Owing to the small particle size, the original structure of the PTFE membrane with its nodes and fibrils and hence the original desired properties of this material are retained. In addition to these properties, the filling of the material gives rise to further properties, such as increased abrasive resistance, for example. |
