abstract Triazine derivatives represented by general formula (I) (wherein each symbol is as defined in the specification), processes for the production thereof, and herbicides containing the derivatives of general formula (I) or salts thereof as the active ingredient. The derivatives are not phytotoxic against cotton and can selectively control a wide variety of upland weeds including abutilons Abutilon avicennae, one of malvaceous weeds like cotton, in a low dose. Herbicides containing these derivatives as the active ingredient are therefore remarkably useful for cotton fields.
