titleOfInvention Solid molded body using urethane elastomer and method of manufacturing same
abstract A solid molded body, which is thin and has excellent shaping characteristics, and a method of manufacturing a solid molded body, which is low in cost and high in productivity. A solid molded body is formed by integrally pressurizing and compressing a urethane elastomer (33), which comprises a non-foaming type reaction mixture, together with a skin material (32) by means of upper and lower dies having predetermined shapes, while the urethane elastomer remains in a visco-elastic flowing condition in its reaction process, and allowing the compressed urethane elastomer to transform into a solid body to bond the same to the rear surface of the skin material. A backing material (34) is applied on an entire rear surface of the urethane elastomer, and is completely bonded to the urethane elastomer in the reaction process. The skin material (32) is composed of natural leather or synthetic leather, and a bag body is integrally molded together with a solid pattern (31).
