abstract |
Elastic polyurethane-urea fibers made from a composition which is prepared by adding a specific alkylsulfonic acid salt or alkylsulfuric acid salt having a C6-C20 hydrocarbon group to a polyurethane-urea polymer prepared by reacting a polymeric diol with an organic diisocyanate, a difunctional amine component comprising at least 75 mole % of ethylenediamine, and a monofunctional amine. The elastic fibers exhibit a high strength and are highly stretchable, thus enabling the production of fine-denier elastic polyurethane-urea fibers. Further, the fibers can withstand high-draft and high-speed finishing. |
