abstract |
A scorch retarding system suited for curing free radical curable elastomers, consisting of or comprising at least one aminoalkyl phenolic scorch retarder acid salt, and possibly at least one polyfunctional monomer coagent. A curable elastomer composition, characterized in that it comprises: (a) an elastomer; (b) a scorch retarding effective amount of at least one aminoalkyl phenolic scorch retarder acid salt; (c) possibly a cross-linking effective amount of at least one polyfunctional monomer coagent; and (d) a cure effective amount of at least one free radical generating compound, said acid salt(s) and said coagent(s) constituting the system as defined above. |
