This invention is a subcutaneous implant (10) for displaying various re-programmable information or decorative patterns beneath the surface of the skin (16) of a person or an animal. A biologically inert subcutaneous implant (10) is constructed of a flexible material so as to conform to the skin's surface (16). The subcutaneous implant (10) includes a battery (46) for providing power to the implant (10). The subcutaneous implant (10) also includes a receiver (34) for receiving programming information from a user, and a display (14) for displaying the programming information through the skin (16). |
