An SPS-containing resin composition which is improved in heat stability in high-temperature molding without any adverse effect on the excellent characteristics, such as heat resistance, chemical resistance and mechanical strengths, inherent in SPS; and molded articles of SPS improved in the resistance to thermal aging in high-temperature and long-time use. Specifically, a resin composition obtained by adding both a phenolic antioxidant and a phosphorus-containing antioxidant to a syndiotactic polystyrene (SPS); and molded articles thereof. Additional use of an sulfur antioxidant gives a more excellent improvement. The composition may further contain other thermoplastic resins and/or rubbery elastomers, polymers exhibiting compatibility with or affinity for SPS and having polar groups, and/or inorganic fillers. |
