abstract A process for producing hydrogen-occlusion alloy electrodes of alkaline storage batteries which can sufficiently enhance battery performances and are highly efficient and effective. The process comprises the step of preparing a hydrogen-occlusion alloy powder and the step of two-stage acid treatment comprising washing the alloy powder with a strong acid solution and then with a weak acid solution having a pH value higher than that of strong acid solution.
