titleOfInvention Enzymatic process for producing gdp-alpha-d-mannose, a gdp mannose pyrophosphorylase and phosphomannomutase suitable for that process, the extraction of the said enzymes, and an enzyme test
abstract The invention concerns a GDP-mannose-pyrophosphorylase. The aim of the invention is to produce a GDP-mannose-pyrophosphorylase which can be obtained for an acceptable outlay and does not cause problems, in particular because of its monofunctionality, in continuous multiple stage processes. To that end, a mannose- or mannose-derivative-specific GDP-mannose-pyrophosphorylase, which can be isolated from microorganisms and has a specific activity of ≥ 2 U/mg, is prepared.
