abstract |
A chipping-resistant coating composition based on a vinyl chloride plastisol, comprising a calcium carbonate powder having an average particle diameter of 0.03 to 0.07 νm as one filler in an amount of 20 to 65 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the filler and not more than 20 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the composition, of a fine powder of a waste thermosetting coating as another filler. The addition of the fine powder can improve the chipping resistance, and the use of calcium carbonate having a smaller average particle diameter than the conventional calcium carbonate can improve the thixotropy of the composition and prevent thermal sagging. |
