abstract | A lipid construct comprising an aminmannose derivatized cholesterol suitable for targeting smooth muscle cells and tissue. Preferred formulations contain 6-(cholest-5-en-3β-yloxyl)hexyl-6-amino-6-deoxy-1-thio-α-D-mannopyranoside in liposome formulations wherein the formulations are delivered generally to arteries using percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty procedures. These formulations have applications in the reduction of restenosis. |
