abstract |
To improve the non-flammability and processability of an epoxy-anhydride reaction resin system it is proposed to supplement the reaction resin system with phosphonic acid semi-esters as additional reactive components. These esters are produced by reacting phosphonic acid anhydride with monovalent or polyvalent alcohols. The already advantageous properties of the moulding compound thus modified can be deliberately determined by the choice of the alcohol components without thereby adversely affecting the curing characteristic. Mouldings produced therefrom already exhibit sufficient non-flammability with small proportions of phosphonic acid semi-ester while retaining their other properties unchanged. |
