titleOfInvention Solid useful material preparations for the multi-stage washing of textiles
abstract The invention concerns novel multi-component textile detergents in solid form which permit multi-stage washing of textiles even in only one wash. The main portion of the useful material mixture - surfactant compounds with a washing effect, alkalizing agents, builders which are soluble in the aqueous-alkali range and/or finely particulate and insoluble and which can bind with calcium and, if necessary, further conventional active and/or auxiliary components of textile detergents - is prepared to form a condensed, in particular granulated, mixing material with time-delayed solubility, at least in cold water. The invention is characterized in that at least one component which can also dissolve rapidly in cold water and is based on suitably soluble complexing agents for the polyvalent cations of the water hardness is provided additionally but separately, mixtures of these complexing agents with cold-soluble surfactant compounds in particular being present. When the components are jointly metered during the initial phase of the washing process the delayed dissolution of the main component is sufficient to ensure at least that the textile material is thoroughly wetted with the aqueous pre-liquor of the complexing agent. The invention further concerns a process for optimizing the washing and cleansing power of textile detergents in the area of alkali textile washing using the above-described multi-component textile detergent, and the use of the preparative forms of complexing agents for polyvalent metallic ions, which preparative forms can dissolve rapidly in cold water, in order to develop a multi-stage washing process and optimize the washing result on soiled textiles.
