abstract The present invention relates to microcapsules for per os administration of active medicinal and/or nutritional principles (AP), whose size is smaller than or equal to 1,000 νm. Said microcapsules are comprised of particles which are coated with a coating material consisting of a mixture of a film-forming polymer derivative, a hydrophobic plastifier, a surfactant and/or a lubricant and a nitrogen-containing polymer. Said microcapsules are also characterized by their capacity to remain a long time (at least five hours) in the small intestine and, during this residence time, to absorb the AP during a period of time longer than the natural transit time in the small intestine. The invention also relates to a method for obtaining said microcapsules and their galenical applications.
