titleOfInvention | Dynamic damper and molding material therefor and method of manufacturing the same |
abstract | This invention belongs to the technical field of a dynamic damper fixed to a vibratory part the vibration of which is to be prevented, and designed to reduce the vibration of the vibratory part. The technical problem to be solved resides in the provision of a dynamic damper of a novel structure which can be manufactured and tuned easily, a molding material therefor and a method of manufacturing the same. The important point of the construction of the present invention developed so as to solve such problems resides in a dynamic damper (10) in which a mass portion (14) is supported elastically on a predetermined object (12) the vibration of which is to be prevented, via support rubber portions (16), characterized in that at least the mass portion (14) is formed out of a compound material obtained by dispersing particles of a high specific gravity material, the specific gravity of which is higher than that of an elastic rubber material, into the elastic rubber material, the support rubber portions (16) being formed integrally with the elastic rubber material, which constitutes the mass portion (14), of the compound material. This invention can be applied to a dynamic damper fixed to a vibratory part of various kinds of mechanical equipments, for example, a power unit and an exhaust pipe in an automobile, and adapted to reduce the vibration of the part, whereby the improvement of the productivity, tuning performance and durability of the dynamic damper is attained. |
