abstract An electrochemical device for concentrating oxygen is provided. The electrochemical device comprises a cathode (10) for reducing oxygen to peroxide. An anode (30) is provided for oxidizing the peroxide to form oxygen according to a two electron process. A solid polymer electrolyte (20) diffuses the peroxide from the cathode (10) to the anode (30).
