titleOfInvention Peptides inhibiting the cholesterol ester transfer protein and therapeutic uses thereof
abstract The invention discloses a peptide which is a fragment of apoprotein AII, having the formula ΔNx Pep ΔCy, wherein Pep is the 27-77 fragment of apoprotein AII (monomeric form) and corresponds to the sequence EKVKSPELQA EAKSYFEKSK EQLTPLIKKA GTELVNFLSY FVELGTQPAT Q, ΔNx is a deletion of x N-terminal amino acids of the Pep peptide as defined above, ΔCy is a deletion of y C-terminal amino acids of the Pep peptide as defined above, x is an integer of 0 to 31 inclusive, and y is an integer of 0 to 4 inclusive. The peptide of the invention is useful for example in the treatment of dyslipidemias.
