abstract |
Fine silica particles having a crosslinked resin coating with a single-layer or multi-layer structure formed on the surfaces of fine fired silica particles via a vinylsilane coupling agent. The particles scarcely cause peeling of the resin coating even when dispersed in a dispersion medium by means of ultrasonic vibration, scarcely cause migration after liquid crystal cell formation when used as a spacer for liquid crystal display, and scarcely produce any adverse effect on liquid crystal itself and alignments thereof. |
