A high-precision mechanical part for office automation equipment required to function with high accuracy and precision, which part is produced by injection molding a flame-retardant resin composition comprising (A) a noncrystalline thermoplastic resin, (B) a scaly inorganic filler, and (C) a specified phosphoric ester having a structure wherein the phosphate groups are bonded to each other via a bisphenol molecule. The part undergoes neither the smoking, evaporation and mold deposit of the flame retardant in the molding step nor the bleeding of the retardant in its use, and has such excellent mechanical characteristics as a high precision because of the reduced warpage and molding shrinkage, an extremely reduced anisotropy of the coefficient of linear expansion, and excellent vibration characteristics. Therefore, it can be used to advantage in the field of precision equipment required to function with high accuracy and precision even under the severe conditions of, for example, high temperature and humidity, such as computer, game machine, music player, audio and video equipment, copier, printer, fax, personal computer, word processor, portable communication equipment, and composite thereof. |
