Method of detecting blood constituent and kit therefor |
abstract |
A method of detecting blood constituents in a specimen by the reaction of a human erythrocyte membrane band-3 glycoprotein with a hemagglutinin (CA) produced by a microbe of the genus Conidiobolus and detecting the band-3 glycoprotein contained in the resulting complex. Since this method enables the band-3 glycoprotein to be detected specifically and stably with a high sensitivity by utilizing CA, it permits highly accurate qualitative or quantitative detection of a human blood constituent contained in the feces or the contents of the digestive system in which it is difficult to recognize the presence and, if any, the quantity of a blood constituent by using hemoglobin. |
