A process is described for making an ingestible, neutral tasting laxative composition by coating dioctyl sulfosuccinate with a material selected from the group consisting of C14-18 fats, C16-20 fatty acids, sucrose polyesters, C14-18 fats and waxes, pH sensitive polymers, food gums, and combinations thereof. Preferably, two successive, different coatings are applied to the dioctyl sulfosuccinate by steps including either fluid bed coating, spray congealing, spray quenching, or spray drying. |
