abstract An eyelash and eyebrow make-up composition consisting of a fatty phase based on one or more waxes with a melting point of 50-110 °C, and an aqueous phase based on a solution of one or more water-soluble film-forming polymers. The composition contains an emulsifier and a microorganism growth inhibitor in the form of a mixture including at least one C10-20 oxyethylene glyceryl acylate and at least one second C10-20 oxyethylene glyceryl acylate or non-oxyethylene glyceryl acylate, selected such that the final mixture HLB according to Griffin is 6-15, and containing 0-14 wt % of one or more class I waxes having a Reinhold standard needle penetration at 25 °C of 1-7.5, and 2-40 wt % of one or more class II waxes having a Reinhold needle penetration at 25 °C of 7.5-217, the weight ratio of class I wax(es) to class II wax(es) being lower than 2.
