An apparatus for administering compounds to avian eggs through the shell thereof comprises a blocking member (10), an elongate shaft (11) connected to the blocking member (10), an active agent depot (18) connected to the elongate shaft (11), and seal means (12) connected to the blocking member (10) for sealably connecting the blocking member (10) to the egg shell with the shaft penetrating (11) through the shell. Methods of using the apparatus of the present invention are also described. |
