abstract The present invention relates to analyzing a test sample for the presence or absence of nuclease activity, and for quantifying the amount of nuclease activity. In one aspect of the invention, a kit is provided which allows the rapid and efficient quantification of nuclease activity in a sample having an unknown nuclease activity. In another aspect of the invention, a method for determining the presence or absence of nuclease activity, and for quantifying nuclease activity is disclosed.
