Angiogenesis is a composite of regulated proliferation and regulated invasion occurring in a variety of normal and pathologic conditions. Compound 1 (5-amino-1-(4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)-3,5-dichlorobenzyl)-1,2,3-triazole-4-carboxamide) and related analogs are useful for inhibiting angiogenesis in a host and offer a novel approach to the treatment of cancer, diabetic retinopathy, hemangiomata, vasculidities and other diseases associated with angiogenesis. |
