| abstract | The feeding system provides for the disposal of the grain husks which accumulate on the food, after the bird has eaten, by means of an airstream. The feeding vessel is comprised of three elements: 1) a container (1) which holds the food and which is provided with a device (8) for fixing the container to the cage; 2) a lid (2) with orifices (3) for the entrance of air and an opening (7) for the bird to reach the food and for the outflow of air and husks; 3) a cup (6) coupled to the lid, over the air inlet orifices and provided with a conduit (4) for blowing air through. The system is useful for the domestic keeping of birds. |
