Uncrystallisable or slowly crystallisable viscous liquid xylitol compositions containing 51-80 % xylitol, 0.1-44 % D-arabitol, and 5-48.9 % oligomers or polymers incapable of reducing glucose, these percentages being determined on the basis of the dry compositions. A method for preparing said compositions is also provided. The compositions may be used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and confectionery. |
