abstract Phosphorylated insulins, which can be prepared from chemically extracted pharmacological insulins by gentle treatment with phosphorous oxychloride, have been shown to have reduced bioactiviy by mouse convulsion assay, but such phosphorylated insulins reduce hyperglycemia when administered to diabetic subjects without inducing hypoglycemia.
