titleOfInvention | Silylene, method of preparing it and its use |
abstract | The invention concerns a silylene of the formula (I): [(R?1R2R3E)R7¿N]-Si-[NR?8(ER4R5R6¿)] in which R?1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8¿, which may be the same or different, are a hydrogen or halogen atom or an alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy, amido or heteroaryl group, where R?7 and R8¿ may also be an -ER?1R2R3 or -ER4R5R6¿ group, and E is an element from the fourth main group in the periodic table of the elements, except for lead, and R?7 and R8¿ together with the nitrogen atoms to which they are bonded and the central silicon atom may form an optionally unsaturated heterocyclic ring with at least 4 ring atoms. The invention also concerns a method of preparing compounds of the formula (IV): [(R?1R2R3E)R7¿N]-A-[NR?8(ER4R5R6¿)] in which A is a silicon or carbon atom and R?1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6. R7, R8¿ and E are as defined above, the method being characterized in that a compound of the formula (V): [(R?1R2R3E)R7N]-AX¿2-[NR?8(ER4R5R6¿)] in which A, R?1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8¿ and E are as defined above and X is a hydrogen or halogen atom is reacted with a reducing agent, optionally in the presence of a solvent. The compounds prepared in this way are useful building blocks in the synthesis of organic compounds. |
