titleOfInvention | Process for surface treatment of natural and synthetic rubber |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for modifying the surface of products of natural and synthetic rubber, characterised by removing starch powder from the product using hot water, by applying a chlorosilicone film chemically to the rubber surface in the presence of a catalyst and at a predetermined pH, by reacting sodium hypochlorite chemical with H+ present to reactive silicone, freeing active chlorine, and by an anionic radical of silicone replacing itself with chlorine and binding itself with isoprene thereby providing a bridge, and forming a chlorosilicone surface layer. The invention is particularly useful to produce smooth, durable, readily donnable and comfortable rubber gloves. |
