METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF A BIOLOGICAL SUBSTANCE $i(IN SITU) |
abstract |
The invention relates to a method for qualitative or quantitative phosphorometric in situ determination of a biological substance with biospecific binding assay, in which one of the reagents of the specific binding reaction is labelled, either covalently or by an immunological reaction, with a phosphorescent metalloporphyrin. The phosphorescence of the label is determined directly from the surface using time-delayed fluorometric (phosphorometric) detection principle, where the emission of the metalloporphyrin is measured after a predetermined delay time has passed from the pulsed excitation, during which time the background noise originating e.g. from autofluorescence of tissues or cells are substantially ceased. |
