abstract A liquid eraser composition comprising an arylic synthetic resin prepared by copolymerizing 93-99.6 wt.% of a (meth)acrylate represented by general formula (I) (wherein R1 represents hydrogen or methyl; and R2 represents a C¿1? - C18 aliphatic hydrocarbon group, a cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon group, or an aliphatic hydrocarbon group partially substituted by an aromatic group) with from 0.4 to less than 2 wt.% of a basic nitrogenous monomer represented by general formula (II) (wherein R?3¿ represents hydrogen or methyl); R?4 and R5¿ represent each independently methyl or ethyl; and A represents C¿1? - C4 alkylene) and, if necessary, up to 5 wt.% of styrene monomer, a pigment mainly comprising titanium dioxide, and a nonpolar solvent. The composition can maintain an excellent dispersion stability of titanium oxide, a pigment with a high hiding power, for long and can give a beautiful white coating originating in the liquid typewriting eraser for both of water- and oil-base inks.
