Biocides, especially algicides, for combatting the fouling due to marine pests beneath the waterline of ships and submarine structures, of iodine propinyl oxyethyl carbamate alone or in combination with an organic tin compound of formula (I) in which R?1, R?2 and R?3 may be an alkyl or cycloalkyl residue with 1 to 6 carbon atoms or are an aralkyl or alkaryl residue with 6 to 12 carbon atoms, and R?4 may be (CH3?CH2?CH2?CH2?)3?SnO, fluoride, chloride, phosphate, acrylate, methacrylate, naphthenate, hydroxide, octoate, phthalate, sulphate, maleate, fumarate, laureate, linoleate, abietate and ethane sulphonate. |
