According to a process for preparing organosilicon compounds having sulphur-containing organic residues, organosilicon compounds made of units having general formula (I) are reacted with sulphite in the presence of water. In the formula (I), R may be the same or different and stand for a monovalent organic residue; R1 may be the same or different and stand for a hydrogen atom or for a monovalent organic residue; R2 may be the same or different and stand for a residue -QX, in which Q stands for a bivalent hydrocarbon residue and X stands for a halogen atom; a equals 0, 1, 2 or 3; b equals 0, 1, 2 or 3 and c equals 0, 1, 2 or 3, provided that the organosilicon compound contains at least one R2 residue per molecule and the sum of a, b and c is less than or equal to 4. |
