titleOfInvention Dna construct and in vitro test for detecting tumor promoters by means of said dna construct
abstract A DNA construct and a process for detecting tumor promoters by means of said DNA construct are disclosed. The object of the invention is to create a quantitative detection process for tumor promoters that is easy to carry out. For that purpose, a DNA construct is used containing at least one reporter gene and a control region for activating a strongly induced gene of the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). The substance to be tested acts on EBV-containing cells that contain the DNA construct, then the amount of reporter gene produced is quantitatively determined.
