abstract A novel prolyl isomerase, RFKBP, which binds FK506 and rapamycin with quantitatively significant selectivity and does not bind cyclosporin A and the molecular cloning of a cDNA (SEQ ID NO: 6) whose sequence predicts a chemically determined amino acid sequence of RFKBP. The deduced protein of the cDNA is 142 amino acid residues in length (SEQ ID NO: 7).
