A transparent or translucide gel based on a polymer of the cross-linked polyacrylic acid type is rigidified by means of at least one galactomanane (gum of carob, guar or tara), in small quantity. The gel has then a consistency sufficiently rigid to provide for the good stability inside the gel of inclusions comprised of a water-in-oil or oil-in-water emulsion, of a gel or of an aquous dispersion of lipid vesicals. The presence in the medium of salts, if not incompatible with the polymer, does not disturb the rheologic status of the gel. |
