abstract |
Megakaryocytes and platelets are produced in culture by employing conditions encouraging megakaryopoiesis while discouraging the formation of fibroblasts. Particularly, human plasma or heparin with fetal calf serum is found to support megakaryocyte formation in containers which lack fibroblast supporting coatings. A factor associated with megakaryopoiesis is provided. |
