Ultraviolet radiation induced erythema is prevented or treated in a human mammal in need of such prevention or treatment, i.e., a mammal suffering from or seeking to avoid sunburn, by topically administering thereto a unit dosage erythema-preventing or treating effective amount of the S(+) ketoprofen enantiomer, said enantiomer being substantially free of its R(-) ketoprofen antipode. |
