abstract | A method of preparing bisphenol A of high purity, in which composition of reacted mixture and saturation?.dissolution temperature of bisphenol under reaction conditions are estimated on-line with the computer when phenol and acetone are reacted in the continuous type or batch type reactor for automatically controlling reaction conditions and those for feeding the fluid of reacted mixture to the subsequent process, whereby no crystals of bisphenol A having phenol added thereto are produced in the reactor and cooler and the maximum rate of reaction can be obtained. Thus, fluctuation in reaction temperature can be prevented and an amount of impurities produced is small. An easy and stable operation in taking out the reacted mixture from the reactor is possible and prevents the subsequent process from being disturbed. |
