titleOfInvention | Diazo compounds, method for preparing them, and their use as dyes |
abstract | Disclosed are diazo compounds containing fibre-reactive groups and having useful dyeing characteristics, being able to dye materials containing hydroxy and/or carbamide groups, in particular fibrous materials such as cellulose and natural and synthetic polymides such as wool, to give intense, colour-fast dyeings. The compounds have the general formula (1) in which Me is hydrogen or an alkali metal; K1 is a group of the general formula (2a); K2 is a group of the general formula (2b) in which Me has one of the meanings given above and n is zero or 1, the group Me being hydrogen when n is zero; D?1 and D2¿ are each a group of the general formula (3a), (3b) or (3c) in which Me has one of the meanings given above, R1 is hydrogen, an alkyl group with 1 to 4 C-atoms (which may be substituted by sulpho or carboxy or sulphato), an alkoxy group with 1 to 4 C-atoms (which may be substituted by sulpho or carboxy or sulphato), chlorine, bromine, hydroxy, cyano, carboxy or sulpho; R2 is hydrogen, an alkyl with 1 to 4 C-atoms or an alkoxy with 1 to 4 C-atoms; Y is vinyl or ethyl containing at the β-position a substituent which can be eliminated by alkali, and m is zero, 1 or 2 (this group being hydrogen when m is zero). |
